My Review:
Being a mom is THE toughest job I have ever had and I have done some heavy lifting, but it is the most rewarding job also.  Jennifer Grant's book MOMumental is a step into one mothers journey through motherhood, traveling on that ever rocky road of parenting 4 children.  I love the easy natural style that the author has.  As a child of divorced parents also, I could identify with her and how those things in our lives are what drives us to be a good parent.  From  knowing when to pick your battles to her 5 multiple duty products that all busy moms should have, Jennifer Grant has created a well read book that is sure help in your own journey of raising a child, mess and all!

Make it Monday - Paperclip Bookmarks

Check it Out!  I got these great giant paper clips from Staples on a BOGO sale so with a little paper, stickers, buttons and some glue I made an assortment of bookmarks that make great little gifts and can be personalized!  These can be made with paper clips of pretty much any size, even the tiny ones could be done with beads!

I use scrap paper and punch circles with my decorative circle punch making these next to free to make!

This is a medium size paper clip with 7 punched circles to make the front flower. 

Here is how I made it.

First I punch out all my shapes and fold six of them in half and then in half again to make little triangles

then just line up the triangles in a circle around the shape

I like to use a white glue for this part because hot glue is more permanent and with the white glue you have a few minutes to manuever your work.

Then using hot glue, I add a button to the center.

 

Using hot glue again I glue the flower piece to the paperclip and another circle on the back to sandwich the clip, I added another flat button to finish it off on the back.

Here is another one made with fabric circles and buttons and a large paperclip.

 

Using strips of fabric I cinched them with thread to make a circle and then it was as simple as hot glueing the two circles together and adding the buttons!  

These can be made so many different ways.  Use 2 of the same stickers and put them back to back.  You could string beads directly onto the clip as well.  Endless possibilities.  That's my kinda make-it!

Boogie Wipes Basket Giveaway

So all this goodness isn't just for the kids!  That is where Saline Soothers come in.  Just like a Boogie Wipe these pre-moistened wipes contain the same soothing saline, aloe and vitamin E ingredients but come Fragrance Free.  They are also available in the Cool Menthol scent as well.  This is the fave in our house!

In my house it's hubby that runs around hollerin' "I need a Boogie Wipe" more than the kiddos.  What is hilarious is that he is using Saline Soothers and as many times as I tell him, it doesn't matter, just give the man a Boogie Wipe!

Check it Out!  I had a blast last night at the RecallsPlus SheSpeaks Twitter Party and today I wanna share the info I learned about this fabulous new possibly life saving resource for parents.

RecallsPlus is a new App that helps parents keep track of child product recalls and food allergen recalls as well as much more! 

Once registered parents can create personal watch lists so that you can keep an eye on what is going on with those products your family uses most.

Although my kids are older and don't have a lot of "toys" that aren't electronic, we do have stuff that I need to keep an eye on like our trampoline. All I have to do is type in trampoline in the search and up comes any items in that category that have recalls on them.  Gives me piece of mind as they are jumpin' around on that thing. 

I love that this is an App and that makes it portable, check items right in the store!  You and I both know that all stores do not remove recalled items from the shelf immediately, so now you know right away!

As a parent, I highly recommend this for the safety of you and your kids.
