Check it Out! I am running very late with this review and I apologize to everyone! With everything that has been going on, I just never got the time to finish the game. Well I am proud to announce that I have finished Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies! And l loved it! As you may know I am a huge Nancy Drew fan and I have played every single PC game that has come out. Labyrinth of Lies is #31 and from my perspective a very challenging game. One of my favorite reasons for loving these games is the puzzles. I love puzzles! Labyrinth of Lies is full of some of the most challenging puzzles to date for me. So let me tell you what this game is about first.
In Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies you will follow Nancy as she threads her way through a maze of deceit and mystery. A museum curator hires you to help with their most anticipated event of the year, the amphitheaters upcoming performance of the story of Persephone. But there are strange mishaps happening and it's up to you to uncover the truth and recover missing artifacts. Check out this trailer for the game.
In this game you will organize Greek displays and assemble exhibits before the museums grand opening. You will be able to sneak backstage and explore the underworld stage sets. Which are completely wild! Of course you have access to the ever so helpful Hardy Boys via your trusty cell phone.
As with all Nancy Drew games you can choose to play as an Amateur or a Master. I love having the task lists that will provide hints if needed. And believe me you just might need them, as some of these puzzles are extremely challenging.
Once again HerInteractive has created an amazing adventure that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat as you weave your way through the mystery.

Check it Out! I love Nancy Drew games! If you have been here before you know that I am an AmbassadHer for Her Interactive and that so excites me! I get to not only play and review these great games with you all, but I get to share them too!
Every time I hear a new Nancy Drew game is coming out I just can't wait! I have been a huge fan for years! My kids love them and I love that they love them! Nancy Drew games are not only fun, but they are down right educational as well! You can learn all kinds of things and build all kinds of skills while playing these games.
The newest Nancy Drew game is The Shattered Medallion! Check out the game trailer video below.
This Nancy Drew games is very different from all the others as there really is no mystery to solve. You are a player in a reality TV show and you get to compete with other contestants to collect medallion pieces in a series of contests. You have the opportunity to create and/or betray alliances and learn about New Zealand. You will learn about the plants, geography and even native Maori words. As always you get to choose your difficulty level. Since you are playing in a reality TV show, it's action on the set and of course there are areas that are off limits, but solving puzzles may get you access. You will get to travel in an undersea submersible and learn the ins and outs of kayaking. The ultimate goal is to be the team who gets all those medallion pieces first so the race is on! Oh and you get to finally learn more about the mysterious Sonny Joon! I really enjoyed the variety of race locations and the puzzles. As I said this game has a different vibe than any of the other Nancy Drew games and was really different, but in a good way. This one went fast for me too! As an AmbassadHer I get the privilege of giving one lucky Check it Out! with Dawn reader their very own copy of Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion! I am excited to share that Nancy Drew is now unlocking mysteries on the iPad and you can now get Nancy Drew: Ghost of Thornton Hall for the iPad. Kindle Fire and Android versions are expected to launch in the coming weeks.
Since it was launched last year Nancy Drew: Ghost of Thornton Hall is one of the most popular Nancy Drew games for PC/Mac so it only makes sense that it would be the first to be optimized for tablet gaming. You can experience it's full retina display resolution and new game features right on your iPad!
This is just the first of many classic Nancy Drew games from the PC/Mac catalog that Her Interactive plans to bring to tablets later this year. New Nancy Drew mystery adventure games are also in development for tablets as well as PC and Mac and that has me even more excited!!

Check it out! I love me some Nancy Drew and I am so blessed to have become an official Nancy Drew Her Interactive AmbassadHER this past year. If you didn't see my review of the last Nancy Drew Game, Ghost of Thornton Hall, you can check it out HERE.
I was so excited earlier this month to get an email letting me know that I was going to get to play the newest Nancy Drew Mystery, #29 The Silent Spy before it was released and as soon as I got my game downloaded, I was on it! I really love playing Nancy Drew PC games and have in fact been playing them for over 10 years. I am so into solving crimes and I find these games educational as well. I have learned so many little things that I may never have learned otherwise if not for these games.
As a long time fan of Nancy Drew I have always wondered about Nancy's mom, and I was excited to see that this game might just answer some of the questions that have been unanswered. What happened to Kate Drew?
Nancy Drew: The Silent Spy - Nearly a decade ago Agent Kate Drew left home to neutralize a biochemical weapon in Scotland. While her assignment was a success, Kate died in a car accident. Or so we were told. Now the echoes of a similar plot reverberate and it's up to you, as detective Nancy Drew, to thwart the sleeper cell and expose the truth about your mother's tragic demise.
You will be traveling to Scotland in this game and the case this time is very personal. I really enjoyed being able to travel by train to other locations, like the secret cabin. Although the "secret cabin" didn't seem like it was in a secret location. Nancy experiences some flashbacks that I thought made the game more personal, it brought Nancy's mom to life so we could see her how Nancy saw her before she left her life and Nancy's dad has some things to deal with too. Ned is available as well.
I was glad to see the hints included in the task list, not for every puzzle, but helpful enough to not get frustrated. I really enjoyed the puzzles as well, there were 3 that I couldn't solve and I had to seek help. The spy theme is thick and there are plenty of spy gadgets involved! And there are hidden coins and phone charms laying around, but you will have to look for them.
Loch Lamond Cabin and Training center
Train Station
I was excited to see that Nancy needs to make some money, cause that train ain't free and what better way to make money than to bake! I really enjoyed it and found myself making a whole lot of money, way more than I needed for the game! lol But that is the fun too, there are souveniers to be bought so that money can be spent!
I really liked some of the characters and some I found slightly strange, and there was just so much that wasn't revealed that I was kinda left wondering about some of these characters. But there are plenty of surprises that kept me intrigued. I finished this game in about 2 days, I didn't want to stop once I started.
Thanks to Her Interactive I get to share the Nancy Drew love and give 2 lucky Check it Out! with Dawn readers their very own copy of The Silent Spy! Enter via the Rafflecopter form below. US residents only.

Check it Out! I recently told you all about becoming an Official Nancy Drew AmbassadHer and I am so excited to share with you my review of the newest Nancy Drew PC Game Ghost of Thornton Hall and a sweet little giveaway as well.
First up let me tell you a little about why I am so excited about becoming a Nancy Drew AmbassadHer. I as a mom of 3 kids with a disabled hubby, and a blog, I do not have a lot of spare time to play games, but when I do play them, my absolute favorite games are Nancy Drew PC games. I have been playing them for years and years, since they first came out and have played every single one except for the last two. We in fact owned them all (except those last 2) before the fire and my kids loved to play them as well. I loved that they loved them as well because I actually consider Nancy Drew games to be educational. You can travel virtually and learn a little bit about different places. I have learned some Morse code, hieroglyphics and even learned a little Italian! There are 28 adventures that you can take. You can GO HERE to the Her Interactive site and get more info on all the games and check out the store and the community as well. That is one of the things I love about the Her Interactive site, the community that they have, is amazing. Help and question threads and all the message boards are available at just a click. Get stuck and need a hint or spoiler, you can find it there.
So let me get back to The Ghost of Thornton Hall and tell you what this game is all about.
Jessalyn Thornton has disappeared during a pre-wedding sleep-over celebration at the abandoned Thornton family mansion on Blackrock Island. Nancy is called in to not only find Jessalyn, but to find out if this old mansion is indeed haunted or if something more sinister is happening.
This Nancy Drew game is set at night so it is dark. I found that I liked my room good and dark, because some of the places are hard to see in bright light, they are so dark. And I did indeed find myself scared a time or two! The first time I saw Charlotte I about peed my pants! Between her popping up, the music as well as other creepy things that seem to happen in each room, I do agree that this is one of the scariest ND games yet!
There are a few features in the game that are new that I really like, like the hints within your task list. Sure makes some of the tasks a lot easier if you get stuck and now you can fast forward through conversations, which is awesome if you replay the game or are a fast reader and don't want to sit through the conversations that are playing out.
In Ghost of Thornton Hall you will be solving not one but two mysteries, where is Jessalyn and what really happened to Charlotte all those years ago. Be prepared to spend time in the cemetery as there is much investigating to be done there. I was a little disappointed that you only get to explore the mansion area and cemetery, it seems a little limited. I really enjoy those ND games where you get a car or travel by train or whatever to other locations, but once I got into the crypt and the back room to the tunnels, the choices expand. I enjoyed the majority of the puzzles, but those stinkin' clocks! arghh! But that is one of the things I love about ND games, the variety of puzzles and the feeling of accomplishment when you solve them...with or without hints! I also really enjoyed the characters but I do wish there would have been more history behind the old plantation. Usually you get a history lesson or two from a ND game but with The Ghost of Thornton Hall, Nancy has a job to do and that is the focus.
What is super cool is there are a couple of different ending possibilities and your choices of conversation will determine how it ends, which I love, because that allows me to play it again!
I really enjoyed this game overall and would give it a 9 out of 10. I can't wait for the next Nancy Drew game, which will be out soon!
Be sure and check out the video above to see the official trailer for the game. You can buy this and all the Nancy Drew games and check out the whole community at www.herinteractive.com.
