Album Review: Emmy Rossum's #SentimentalJourney

Check it Out!  Acclaimed actress Emmy Rossum, who currently stars in Shameless on Showtime is  one multi-talented actress!  Not only is she an amazing actress, but an amazing singer!  I recently got the opportunity to review Emmy's new album Sentimental Journey, before it came out!

I personally love Pretty Paper and Summer Wind the most and just love the idea of listening to this album out on my patio with a cup of coffee and a beautiful day!  These songs are amazing at evoking memories and relaxing you at the same time!  Totally enjoyed this and I can't wait to share it with my mom who is going to fall in love with this album!

Colortime Crafts & Markers Review & Giveaway! (closed)

Check it out!  As a crafter I have bought so many different brands of markers, both for paper and fabric.  But I love fabric markers, because I love to create gifts and projects from fabric, whether it's a t-shirt or bag.  Not too long ago, I got the opportunity to try out Colortime markers, along with a super cool colorable pillowcase and I am in love with these markers!

Victoria took over and got right to putting those markers to work.  First we put some newspaper inside the pillowcase so there would be no bleed through, then it was creative time!  These markers are awesome!! Not only are they easy to hold but they are bold!  There was no drying out after a minute or two, like I have found with many other fabric markers.  There is no globbing of the color either.  What is super awesome is they dry quickly and they do not need to be heat set!  As soon as it's dry to the touch, you can wear/use your creation!  I always hate those paints that take hours to dry so the kids have to wait... and whose kid likes to wait?  Yeah, not mine!

At first we were a little disappointed that there were only 3 markers, but Victoria quickly figured out that she could make new colors.  I also love that these markers are not messy!!  That's another huge selling point for me, mess free!  Markers wash right off the skin.

So here is Victoria's creation!  What I really love about this is that she can continue to add on with her own designs. And the whole back side is plain...perfect for a name:

Instead of adding the paper as a background paper, you can add it as an embellishment so that you can move the paper around. This is especially useful when using papers with stripes or circles, so you can decide which part of the paper you want to use.

Once it is added as an embellishment, you can now select the paper and move it into the position you want it.

Just SAVE and PRINT on cardstock. Fold it up following the lines to create your photobox.

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book and believe that I will keep it on an easily accessible shelf as I plan to reference it again.  Based on the Lord's Prayer and using it as a guide to God's House this book got me thinking about many different things.  We are not talking about an earthly house but His house, living within Him!  It really is awesome how Max Lucado takes you right through the front door to explore the whole house and even up to the roof, to see how God has built it specifically for you.  I really love the Ponder, Prepare & Pray Study Guides at the end of the book that I will be referencing over and over.  After losing my earthly "home" to a fire just 7 months ago, the word Home has taken on new meaning for me and is really why I was drawn to this book.  I am not focused on the loss of that House anymore, because I know that I live in God's House and it is an amazing place!  Loved it, 2 thumbs up!

NicoMate Electronic Cigarette Review & Giveaway!

Check it Out!  My husband is a smoker who really wants to quit.  As with many smokers, he just can't stop on his own.  He has tried patches but they just don't work for him and the new stop smoking drug is super expensive, plus there is the stress that he is under right now, which makes it double hard to quit.  But he still wants to quit so when I recently got the opportunity to try the NICOmate electronic cigarette I was super excited.  See we tried the electronic cigarette before, not this brand and it was to put it mildly CRAP!  I spent $25 on a tiny kit with a refillable cigarette, tiny charger and 3 refills.  It didn't work, the charger broke once and I had to swap it out, still it is so frustrating the husband won't even try it anymore.  What a waste!

The NICOmate disposable cigarette is a true alternative to to traditional tobacco cigarettes and it delivers a product that can be smoked anywhere.  With controlled amounts of nicotine vapor, the NICOmate cigarette gets rid of the bad breath, smelly clothes and the need to stand outside to smoke.  They contain no carcinogens or carbon monoxide and last longer than traditional cigarettes.  There is also no flame or ashes so it's neat and safe. 

So how does this electronic cigarette work?  Well when you inhale on the cartridge a battery powered sensor is triggered that heats the atomizer inside the cartridge.  The liquid nicotine that is inside the cartridge gets vaporized by the atomizer and is inhaled by the user.  You can GO HERE and get all the info on how NICOmate works.

Like I said earlier, my husband tried another brand of electronic cigarette so when I gave him this one, he was a little hesitant, but as I explained the product and how it works and that this one was disposable and would be equivalent to 2 packs of cigarettes, he gave it a try.  After a few minutes, he looked at me and said he thinks he could quit with this!  Yay! 

He said that it was just like smoking a regular cigarette, he got the full feeling in his lungs and said he felt no difference other than the smoke and smell.  There is a vapor that is expelled, but it does not smell and it only produced the vapor when inhaled.

He and I are super impressed and hopefully with NICOmate's help, he can become a nonsmoker!
