My Review:

This is a great book to have as a homeschool family.  It is jammed packed with facts and information that will keep you or your kids occupied for hours.  With a preface to the Star Spangled this is an updated edition of the original book that was first published in 1997.  It includes original facts and questions as well as new ones.  Broke up into fourteen parts, you can find info on topics like Entertainment and Places, History and People.  It is meant for browsing, you can just pick it up and find a cool fact or even one that you may already know.  This has become a coffee table book in our house.  The kids love to ask each other questions from it.  We give it 2 thumbs up!

Check it Out!  I just found out that I am a confirmed Glade Design the Air House Party Hostess!  If you know about House Party, then you know I am excited!  And if you haven't heard of House Party then you have got to Check it Out! 

With House Party, you get to have a party in your home with Free products and brands you love and you get to share cool stuff with friends and family.  Once you have created a Free account you can "apply" to host various parties.  You choose, don't like the product, don't apply! 

I have hosted 5 House Parties so far and I have some tips on how you can better your chances at being chosen for a house party:
Getting started-
*Make sure you get your House Party homepage set up, get a photo downloaded and get your profile completed, you have to do this so get it out of the way first off.
*Make sure you check your dashboard, know the date that finalists will be chosen for the party you applied for and watch your email around that date.
*Applicants are chosen based on their responses, so be complete and honest in filling out the application.
*You can apply to one or all parties listed and some parties offer extra ways to get a spot, look for those emails from House Party
Once you get an email saying you are a host finalist:
*Respond right away! There are only so many spots per party and it is a first come basis- you get your party set up quick and your in!
*Have at least 8 friends on your list ready to be invited, it is timed so be ready with that to avoid frustration.
*Remember that you do not have to have your party on the specified date and/or time, you can choose a date that works for you, just keep it within a week or two of the original date.
If you are chosen to host a party:
*House Party loves photos and they love you to share the photos of your House Parties, so upload all that you can and it will increase your chances of being chosen for future parties.
*Encourage your guests to complete the follow up surveys that they will recieve via email and be sure you complete all surveys you recieve!

Now that I am done, I am thinking about next year!  Yep, I have depleted my PayPal account, which is what I use to do my online shopping, and it's time now to start building it back up for next Christmas shopping.  One of the ways I do that is by completing online surveys.  There are a few that I am super loyal to because for me, they are the most profitable.  Here are a few of my fave Survey and Reward sites:

*National Consumer Panel.  I scan my purchases each week and submit them to accumulate points.  NCP also offers surveys and other ways to earn points.  You then use those points to get rewards!  I have gotten a Shark Floor cleaner along with various gift cards.  My daughter gets a $25 iTunes card this year in her stocking compliments of NCP.

*Pinecone.  They send 4 - 5 surveys a month and pay $3 per survey, no points, cash!  It is closed right now, but I will post when they accept new panelists, so keep checkin' it out with Dawn.

Somehow Jonathan must find a way to persuade a frightened woman to unlock the secrets of his past.

The book includes an invitation to the readers to verify the facts of their own stories, to accept the reality of their existence, especially the most painful ones, and to live in forgiveness. The end result is a healthy new way to look at life with an ability to share hope with others for the future. Healing is possible but requires truth, acceptance, and forgiveness, including of oneself.

My Review:
This is a great quick read.  I recommend getting a quiet area and a short block of time, because you will want to finish this book once you start it.  It is a fabulous short story of a man trying to come to terms with where he is in his life.  Abandoned by his mother as a child, Jonathon is lead on a search for answers about his mother.  Through his search, Jonathon faces realizations and truths.  I don't want to spoil it by saying too much but this is a great story, one that you will not forget.

I received the Dark Chocolate with Almonds flavor and although I can not eat alot of dk. chocolate at once, this is a fab treat every day as I eat one square!  Rich and smooth, this is gourmet chocolate at its best!
