Epic Grace: Chronicles of a Recovering Idiot
by Kurt W. Bubna

About the Book:
God never wastes anything—our strengths, our successes, or our mistakes. In this collection of true stories, Kurt Bubna, a self-confessed “recovering idiot,” chronicles his own honest, heartfelt, and often hilarious missteps along the path to grace. You’ll discover what it means to experience the unconditional love of God, regardless of how often you stumble, and you’ll gain a fresh view of how to find God’s purpose for your life. Learn from Kurt’s trials and triumphs that God is indeed the God of second chances—and His epic grace can transform even the most imperfect life into something priceless.

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book.  Kurt Bubna is a real everyday guy who has experienced some of the hardness that life often delivers.  He's just like you and me, except he is a pastor.  Being a pastor though often leaves people thinking that all things are rosy in their worlds, that they aren't like us, real people.  In fact he is.  He is humble, honest and unfiltered.  Sharing stories and life changing moments, you'll get a view into the not so perfect life of the author.

"God will use whatever means necessary to create in us the likeness and character of his Son.  He is absolutely committed to our spiritual growth.  In fact, God is far more concerned with our growth than he is with our comfort."

I love this statement and to remember this makes some situations easier to deal with.  In a non-preachy way the author leads you through his journey and how God has promised "Epic Grace" for those who seek Him.
He touches on some hard subjects, but also provides encouraging messages.   Great read!  Two thumbs up!
