My Thrifty Drugstore Deals - 10/30

 

Check it Out!  I got out super early on this cold morning to snag some drugstore deals!  I had some making up to do since I didn't get to shop last weekend!  Here is what I got at CVS:

*Charmin Toilet Paper 9 rolls - $5.44 - used $0.25 off coupon

*Duracell 10 pk batteries (with free screwdriver) - $5.99 sale - used $0.75 off coupon

*2 Pantene Natural Fusion Conditioner - 2/$7 sale - used $3 off 2 coupon

*2 Always Pads - 2/$6 sale - used 2 $0.50 off coupons

*NyQuil Liquid Caps 24ct. -  $8.99 - used $1 off coupon

*Olay Wet Cleansing cloths - $3.99 sale - used $2 off coupon

Total paid:  $30.87 -  used a $4 off $20 CVS coupon and I got a $10 Applebees Gift Card back for spending $30! 

Final total paid for all 10 items that would have cost $53.40 was $20.87!

Over at Walgreens I had a problem with the Crest Pro-Health deal which was my first transaction but more on that in a minute, first here are my other transactions:

2nd transaction:

Total paid:  $12.89 - used $4 in RR from 2nd transaction - got back $5 RR for spending $20

4th transaction:

*Altanta Journal Newspaper 2 pack - $3

Total paid:  $1.98 - used $5 RR from 3rd transaction

Okay - so here is how my 1st transaction went:

*2 Ricola Dual Action - $2 ea. sale - used BOGOFree coupon - got back $2 RR

*Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash - $3.99 sale - used $2 off coupon

*Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste- $3.99 sale - used $1 off coupon

*Oral B Toothbrush - $4.99 - used $1 off coupon

Total paid:  $10.97 and I got a $2 RR back for the Ricola and a $1 off Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste Coupon but no RR for the Crest Pro-Health!

So the manager decided that I had the wrong Oral-B toothbrush (which was #55) and retrieved the #52 Oral-B toothbrush and still no RR.  After 2 refunds and re-rings I ended up with $5 cash back and 2 more $1 off Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste coupons.

So... my final total paid for all 19 items that would have cost $63.31 was $31.63 and I have a $1 RR and $3 in Colgate Sensitive coupons left over.

My Review:

This is a beautifully embossed hard cover little book that is sure to help anyone in need of a daily blessing.  Each day comes with a scripture then a brief explanation brought to you as if God were speaking it and then a short prayer.  Taking you through the bible with 365 days of readings, these are quick and refreshing and a great way to take a minute to get a center towards God before starting the day.  It's a great size for keeping near the bed or taking with you when you travel.
