by: Kathe Wunnenberg
About the Book:
“I wish there were something I could do to ease the pain.”
"How often do women see a friend in distress or crisis, but feel helpless to really make a difference? Hopelifter: Creative Ways to Spread Hope When Life Hurts takes the mystery out of how to be the hands and feet of Jesus to anyone in need of hope, comfort and care. Kathe Wunnenberg, whose hope-lifting ministry has impacted the lives of thousands, demonstrates simple, practical ways that acts of creative compassion can transform lives.
Whether it’s encouraging a jobless friend, lifting the spirits of someone trapped in depression, leaving an anonymous gift for a grieving mother, hosting a starting-over shower for a divorced friend, or playing one small part in long-term support for a family in deep crisis, daily opportunities to make a difference in hurting lives are limitless for a Hopelifter.
The perfect book for women who want to spread hope in their friendships, workplace, neighborhoods, and homes, and ideal for those in caring roles in churches and ministries."
My Review:
This is a great book to have on hand if you have it in your heart to help. Whether your helping a friend, co-worker, or stranger, this book makes a great resource. Covering topics like abuse, addiction and homelessness as well as many others, this book provides ideas and practical ways to help someone who may need it.
One of the best feelings in the world for me is helping others and sometimes the most simple and mundane things can change someone else's out look.
This three part book covers Discovering, Embracing and Giving Hope and also includes recipes of hope topics. These make it easy to find the topic you specifically need. There is also a great Verses of Hope section that I really love. I highly recommend this book if you have it in your heart to help in any way. It isn't always about money and being able to help someone monetarily and this book will provide great inspiration for those times you need it. 2 thumbs up!
