*I received this book via Worthy Publishing for purposes of review, however all opinions are my own.

Water Walker:  The Outlaw Chronicles
by:  Ted Dekker

About the Book:
"Second in the new series from Ted Dekker, master of suspense, whose books have sold 9 million copies. Humming with intensity, Water Walker is a raw adrenaline rush from first page to last.
"My name is Alice Ringwald, but the man who kidnapped me says that's a lie." Thirteen year old orphan Alice Ringwald has no memory beyond six months ago. The only life she knows is the new one she's creating one day at a time with the loving couple that recently adopted her and gave her new hope. That hope, however, is shattered one night when she is abducted by a strange man. In a frantic FBI manhunt, he vanishes. So begins Water Walker, a modern day parable that examines the staggering power of forgiveness, and reminds us that it's possible to live free of the hurt that keeps our souls in chains."

My Review:
I have been super busy lately dealing with family and medical issues and haven't had a chance to get to this book earlier.  However once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down!  As is usual Ted Dekker style this book is full of mystery and intrigue.
Finally settling in to a new life, Alice Ringwald's world changes when she opens the front door to a stranger.  However, the stranger has a message that stuns her and thus begins a captivating story.  Things are not and never have been as they seem and Alice who is really Eden has quite a lot to deal with.  Sadness, Fear, and Forgiveness are just the tip of the iceberg of emotions that one can get from this book.  It is an intriguing and compelling story that weaves old and new characters together, including the Outlaw!
It is however just the first episode so there is more and Dekker leaves you wanting more.  Can't wait to read the next episode!  2 Thumbs up!
