Our #Switch2Swerve Sweetener Mess to Success story @Bookieboo @SwerveSweetie

*I received the product in this post for free, however all opinions are my own.

Check it Out!  I don't know about you, but cutting down on sugar is something I am always trying to do when feeding my family, and I have often thought that I wish I could find a sugar replacement.  I have tried many artificial and/or synthetic sweeteners but just haven't found that perfect fit yet, so I was excited to get to try out Swerve Sweetener via Bookieboo!

I got this great little package with my Swerve Sweetener and a handy set of measuring spoons, which I really needed!  Since the fire, I haven't replaced all my kitchen items, pretty much just those things I use on a daily basis.  I usually just buy it as I need it, and since I haven't done a lot of baking since, I haven't needed them.  I also don't have a lot of products that you typically need for baking like vanilla, baking powder or even cinnamon so when I got my Swerve and I wanted to bake with it, without an extra trip to the store, I decided to work with what I have.  We found a super simple sugar cookie recipe that called for 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of butter, 2 cups of flour and egg and salt.  Since you can use Swerve cup for cup as a sugar replacement, we decided to give it a try.

When I say we had to get creative, I really mean it!  Once we got started making the cookies, we realized we didn't have quite enough flour to make 3 cups, so we used 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of baking mix, you know like Bisquick.  Yes, we are a hot mess in the kitchen, but I have to say overall they were good biscuit cookies! lol  They tasted a little like a sweet biscuit and would have been wonderful with some frosting on top, but again, nothing to make frosting with, so we topped some of them with chocolate chips.
The main thing is you can not tell that we didn't use sugar and my kids ate them up!  So I now have the satisfaction of knowing I can make sugar cookies that are yummy and sweet and healthier too!
Swerve is zero calorie and measures just like sugar.  It doesn't affect blood glucose or insulin levels which makes it safe for diabetics too.  Swerve is made from a unique combination of non-GMO ingredients that are derived form fruits and vegetables and it contains no artificial ingredients, preservatives or flavors.
I really like that there is no conversion charts needed to figure out how much to use and it has the ability to brown and caramelize so you can use it for everything you would use sugar for.
You can head over to their Facebook page and get more info and get in on special offers and contests and snag some recipes too!  You can check them out on Twitter and Pinterest as well.
You can also pick up Swerve right off the shelf at a store near you!  Head over to for the store locator and use coupon code:  SWITCH10 to snag a 15% discount on your online order.
