Check it Out!  I spend alot of time in my car, well my van, I have a Nissan Quest and I love it!  My kids love it too because it is so big and they don't have to sit on top of each other.  They each have their own space and so do I!  I love getting me time in my van.  I know it might sound crazy, me time in a automobile but I get to listen to the music I want, I get sing out loud or cry or scream or whatever makes me feel better at the time.
Kia wants to know how your car is more than just a car and have some great videos for you to check out.  I love how fellow blogger mom Daphne Brogdon and her kids come up with a some very creative ideas in their Kia.

Now my van is big enough for that!  I love spending time with my kids in our van.  Now that they are older and don't have to be entertained, I actually have to work to keep conversations going so I use the time we are in the van to talk about what interests them and what they have been up to and doing.

Make it Monday - Removable Table Skirt

Check it Out!  I have been so busy getting my new house together, which is a slightly overwhelming experience, that my blogging has slipped. I apologize for that!

Buying EVERYTHING is a huge job.  It is fun sometimes, but sometimes I get the hives from spending so much money.  TV, computers, lamps, furniture, you name it... I had to buy it!  Now I don't have a million dollars to spend so budget shopping is a necessity for me.  I look for sales and clearance items and I try to make things myself to save money.  

This is our "school room" which is not only the homeschool room but my office and craft area.

As you can see that table in between those bookcases is kinda an eyesore, and since it is the only table in the room right now, I want it to look nice and fit in as well.  It's just a folding table that I picked up for $20 so I knew I could alter it.  

I purchased this curtain set at Walmart really just for the valance, which I used in my kitchen area, so I had the bottom tier panels left over. Turns out they are a perfect fit for the height of that table. 

I picked up some velcro strips from the craft department for about $0.80 a roll and fired up my new hot glue gun for it's first project!

I turned the panels on their sides and starting at the decorative end glued the velcro strip to the back side of the panel.  Sorry for the wrinkles...haven't bought an iron yet!

So it took me 2 velcro strips to do both panels. The panels and the velcro were both 1 yard long.  Then I found my center on the front of the table and glued each strip starting from the center and going around the corner of the table.  It didn't fit all the way around, but it doesn't matter, it doesn't show anyway.

My finished table looks great and it's functional as well, I can simply peel back the fabric and get to the items I need to store under the table!

Let me just say that this was one fabulous smelling package and I couldn't wait to use the products.
In the first months after the fire, luxuries were not part of my life, basics only.   But since I have been able to start replacing things, I have been able to focus on some luxuries for myself, like new clothes!  And wow, what a new outfit does for the heart!  Having a new outfit and fresh skin is quite a luminous combination and I have to admit feeling more luminous since getting to use these fab products.

The special moisture lock seal keeps the towelettes wet, which is important and they hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and safe for contact lens wearers.  They sell for about $4.99 for a 30 pack.  

I love the scent and the effectiveness of these towelettes.  They are perfectly sized and left my skin fresh and clean.  I love having these handy for not only removing makeup, but for washing my face and neck after working in the yard or exercising.  And the packet is perfect for throwing in your bag  or even keep in the car.

POND'S Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser with Soft White Kaolin Clay and Gentle Microbeads deeply cleans and exfoliates dull skin to bring back its natural radiance.   Remember that soft white Kaolin Clay is a magnet to get those deep impurities out, so along with gentle microbeads, skin is left revived and full of radiance! I love this product and have to say it is my fave of all 4.  I love a good exfoliating cleanser and the microbeads let you know some exfoliating is going on when you use it!  It has a fresh clean scent and I really like the size of the bottle, perfect for the shower.

POND'S Luminous Clean Cream Cleanser with Soft White Kaolin Clay and Moisturizing Ingredients is a creamy cleanser that gives you a super gentle cleaning that draws out trapped impurities and makeup to brighten that dull skin.  It is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested as well.  Sells for around $5.79 for 6.0 oz.

I really love the gentleness of this product and I gave it to my daughter to use, because she has extremely sensitive skin.

I really love the classic rose scent of this product and how light and airy it is.  I can't wait to use it this spring and summer, when I am out in the yard working or at the beach!

Check it Out!  Since buying this old house, I have been so busy painting, fixing, decorating and especially cleaning!  It's a 30 year old house so there are quite a few problems and messes!  So when I got my latest Purex Insiders Kit, I was super excited, because inside was Soft Scrub Total All Purpose Bath & Kitchen Cleanser.  Just what I need!

I really like using Soft Scrub products because I love the tough yet gentle formula.  This new and improved formula has even more whitening power and less residue which makes for better rinsing.  

This is also an all new bottle and cap design that improves dispensing and preventing spills making it more efficient.  I really like cleansing with lemon so to have it in an all purpose cleanser is fabulous!   

I used it in my bathrooms first and I really love the job it did not only on the sink and countertops but my toilets as well!  I know it's not really for that, but it works great!  I really like that this cleaner has scrubbing power but is really very gentle.  Rinses away easily with no gritty build up as well.

I also used my Soft Scrub Total All Purpose in the kitchen.  Having just scraped 3 layers of wallpaper off the wall which led to fixing spots which led to lots of dust!  Yuck, that stuff can be tough to get rid of but it was no problem with the Soft Scrub Total All Purpose cleanser.  From the sink to the appliances, it took care of business and smells wonderful too!

TIP:

You can right-click on the white guide and lock it in place to keep it from moving while you are working. Make sure this is the top layer of your project before printing.

Instead of adding the paper as a background paper, you can add it as an embellishment so that you can move the paper around. This is especially useful when using papers with stripes or circles, so you can decide which part of the paper you want to use.

Once it is added as an embellishment, you can now select the paper and move it into the position you want it.

Just SAVE and PRINT on cardstock. Fold it up following the lines to create your photobox.
