Break Through
When to Give In, How to Push Back
by:  Tim Clinton & Pat Springle

About the Book:
"This book shows readers how to protect themselves from the controlling or irresponsible behaviors of others—spouses, parents, friends, or co-workers.
“Well, I guess he does have a good side.”... “You know, it’s probably my own fault.” ... “I need to cut him some slack, because he’s had a rough life.” It’s easy to get stuck in painful, even destructive relationships – caving in to a spouse’s addictions and consequent abuses, ignoring a live-at-home son’s inconsiderate behavior, or putting up with a supervisor’s manipulation or even harassment. We excuse them again and again, and then kick ourselves for not setting respectful boundaries. Break Through has a self-test to help readers get back in control and is filled with useful tools to help them make big changes in their life. This important book will show readers when to give in, but also when to push back for a happier, more stable life."

My Review:
Knowing your in a bad relationship can sometimes be a hard thing to accept and knowing why we choose unhealthy relationships is even harder to understand.  That's where this book comes in.  This is solid relationship advice based on God's word.  Learn about co-dependency, what it is and how to learn to say No when you want to say yes, no matter who the person is!  Through advice and reflective applications you can learn how to know when to give in and when to push back!  2 thumbs up!

  1. This book is a game-changer for those who need help setting boundaries in their life. Some of us try to hard to control others; others of us allow ourselves to be manipulated, even bullied. This book addresses both these dysfunctions but offers real life examples of how to change. Your readers may find this wikihow article based on a short section of the book, on how to confront someone who's hurt you: http://www.wikihow.com/Confront-Someone-Who-Has-Hurt-You

  3. Would love to win this. It has taken me years to learn to develop a few protective strategies in dealing with manipulative people I trusted, I could use all the help I can get. then I would pass this book on to each of my grown children to read.
