My Review:
I love the TJ and the TimeStumblers series and more importantly, my daughter loves this series.  Book 3 is just a continuation of the fun and hilarious hijinks of three crazy kids. Two of whom just happen to be Time Travelers from the 23rd -century!  This time they are studying TJ for their history project! We think TJ is fab mix of funny and insane!  The "sound effects" are too cool and really keep you interested in the story.  There are always great morals to the stories and this one teaches you to be nice and to value honesty and patience.  Great messages put into fun kid relateable humor that leave you waiting for the next adventure!  We sure are!!  Recommended for ages 9-12.

Product Review: Tonka XT Ricochet Tricksters RC

Check it Out!  Thanks to BzzAgent, my boys got to try out the new Tonka XT Ricochet Tricksters RC by Hasbro!  The boys in this house love RC vehicles of any kind and in fact have helicopters and cars, but this is the first Tonka RC that they have ever tried.  The difference is this little car does tricks! 
So here is what my BzzKit looked like:

Usually when we purchase any toys, the hardest thing is just getting it out of the packaging.  That was not the case with the packaging of this product.  There are these really neat tabs that anchor strings to hold the items in place.  Your child could open this himself it is so super easy!  Here is what's inside:

We got the Buzzsaw Spin model which DJ quickly claimed: 

What is unique about these RC cars is the "Trick Trigger" function that lets you perform the cool stunts.  Each model is pre-programmed with stunts but using his imagination DJ came up with some of his own too!  This little car is tough, it can drive on both sides so there is no upside down, it flips you just keep on driving and it outlasted the drops from the tables and ramps and crashing into things without breaking pieces off.  It is intended for indoor use which was the only drawback for us because we don't have alot of space indoors for RC cars and typically take ours outdoors but it makes for some great rainy day play and because it is smaller in size you can use it in smaller spaces. I really liked that you don't have to put batteries in the car itself, just the remote, although that requires 5 AA batteries.  We were able to get a good 30 minutes of run time out of our first charge, which is great, alot of cars only last 15-20 min per charge which allowed for plenty of time for experimenting.

The Tonka XT line is designed for kids 6 years and older and retails for about $24.99.  There is also the Hasbro Tonka XT site where you can check out videos of these guys in action.  These are not your typical Tonka Toys!  2 thumbs up!

Check it Out!  I just had my Be the Chef with Chef Boyardee House Party where we made the Chilironi!

Chilironi was one of the recipes that came in my Party Pack and one that we thought everyone would like.  We did alter it a little and used canned chili beans (with the sauce) and stewed tomatoes but did not use the cumin.  Took 5 minutes to throw together and then just warm it up.

We served it with cheese and crackers! Yummy!

We loved it, it was just chili with noodles and it was great!  Even Daddy got in on the fun!  Gotta love him!

My Thrifty Walgreens Trip - 9/25

Check it Out!  I ran out to Walgreens this morning to pick up just a few deals.  Didn't have time to run across the street to CVS, maybe later!  So here is what I did:

1st Transaction:

*Remington Azor Shave System - $4.99 sale - got back a $5 RR

*Charmin 6pk. - $4.29 - used $0.25 off coupon + $2.99 store coupon

Total paid:  $4.73 - used $3 RR left over from earlier in the week - got back $5 RR

2nd Transaction:

*2 Scrubbing Bubbles Cleaners - $2.99 sale - used $2 off 2 coupon

*Fantastik Spray Cleaner - $2.99 sale - used $0.75 off coupon - got back $2 RR 

*Reese's - $0.59 - for filler

Total Paid:  $1.81 - used $5 RR from 1st transaction - got back $2 RR 

Final Total paid for all 6 items that would have cost $18.84 was $6.54 and I have a $2 RR left over!

Product Review: Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Check it Out!  As a SheSpeaks member I recently got to participate in the Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner Rate and Review Program.  If you haven't heard of it yet, you have got to Check it Out!

The one step system is really ingenius and I have to say I am in love!  I know, crazy!!  It's a toilet cleaner!  But this is so simple and the concept is really cool.  You start with a clean toilet of course and then you simply clip the nozzle over the rim inside the bowl, and don't worry this clip is so versatile that it will fit your toilet. 

Place the foot pedal in the desired location and insert the cleaner bottle until you hear a click and then place the cover sleeve over the can.

You spray the bowl by stepping on the foot pedal for about a second and then you just walk away!  The nozzle sprays 360 degrees and even gets under the rim to completely cover the entire bowl. 

So for me the bathroom is the very last place that I clean, I hate, hate hate cleaning the bathroom, that is one of the reasons I was so excited to try this system out.  It is super simple to install and I just love the cover that goes over the can, makes it less of an eyesore.   I got  some ideas for that plain white tube though!

As far as cleaning, it does a great job.  The instructions say you should step and spray 2 times per day, but I have found that one time at night does just as well.  I let it sit overnight.  It really does what it says it does and I am impressed with the size of the can being 18 ounces. 

My mom was using those bleach tablets in her toilets and on a trip to Walmart, I suggested she try the Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner.  While showing her the product and explaining how it works to her, a gentleman who was also shopping for toilet cleaner became interested and after reexplaining, he and my mother both bought one!  We had a $4 off coupon which made it only $4.97.  And the boxes have some great coupons inside, BOGO Free Refills! yay!!

The only drawback that I can see with this system is the kid factor, if you have little ones, they may want to play with it, as it is out in the open.  I had a little chat with mine about not needing to step on it every time they enter the room, but each week they get to take turns "cleaning" their toilet! 

Oh and as for that plain white tube, here is an idea, coordinate it to your bathroom by covering it with scrapbook paper!  To make it washable, I laminated the paper first!  Just think, you can change it with the holidays or whenever you want. 

I give this system 2 Thumbs up!!
