Originally published in 2010 and released in paperback on July 19, "The Confession" has won the Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction.
My Review:
I have been a John Grisham fan for a super long time and I have read just about everyone of his books, and The Confession is a perfect example of John Grisham. Jam packed with legal details, you get a peek at the judicial systems workings. Although if your not a fan of politics and legal jargin, there may be sections that become boring. There are a slew of characters, but some needed a little more attention. My favorite character was Keith, what a roller coaster ride, this small town luthern minister goes on but I really would have liked to have known more about Boyette. As one of the main characters the few bits of information just weren't enough for me and I wanted to know more about his motives. Why wait until the last day? What was his main objective? Was there a master plan? This is a lenghty book at 515 pages but overall is a good read. I found my interest grew after the first 200 pages though.

I'm a big fan of John Grisham's writing style, and The Confession was the first e-book I purchased for my new Kindle. Like his previous novels, The Confession is a smooth read; I finished it in just over a day. Grisham has a knack for interspersing engaging dialogue and narrative, and he knows how to end a chapter leaving you with a desire to read the next.
