Check it Out!  My family loves music and between all 5 of us, we pretty much like all kinds of music!   I recently got a chance to check out the newly released Celtic Woman CD & DVD "Believe" and since hubby is already a fan, he was super excited!

  Never heard of Celtic Woman?  They are a unique musical emsemble that brings you traditional Irish music but with a modern stage production.  Made up of 4 wonderfully gifted young Irish women, Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew, Lisa Lambe do the vocals while Mairead Nesbitt is the Celtic Violinist. 

I popped this CD into the car player and was astounded by the reaction I received from the kids!  The reaction?  Nothing... they didn't complain or groan, they just sat there listening and looking out the window!  It was a wonderful ride and everyone was so relaxed when we arrived at our destination!   

If you have never heard the Celtic Woman before you have got to give it a listen.  GO HERE and get a little preview of what I am talking about!  This is the most relaxing and moving music.  When you watch the DVD, you are taken into the Fox Theater that is here in Atlanta, GA and it is so magical!  I have been to the Fox before, but it is transformed so beautifully for this production, so dreamy! 

The DVD is a fabulous way to spend a date night with hubs or even with the whole family.  There is even a wonderful behind the scenes bonus that we really enjoyed!

Make It Monday - Bottlecap Necklace

Check it Out!  I am starting a new weekly series on Monday's called Make It Monday!  I have so many great ideas and shortcuts for making and/or altering all kinds of things so I thought this would be a great way to share and I would love to invite my readers to share some of the things that you all make. 

This is a necklace that Aunt Jamie gave Tori for christmas and she loves it!  It is super cute don't ya think?  Yes that is a bottle cap! 

After checkin' this thing out we discovered that it is just a

stretchy cord attatched to a washer with a magnet glued to the other side...

The bottle cap comes off  and on.  So we decided we would make Tori some other bottle caps so that she can change her looks! 

I already had all the materials it took to make these in my craft stashes. 

We used:

*blank unused bottle caps that can be bought at any craft store

*a glue that dries clear- we used Aleene's Memory Glue (Aleene's Paper Glaze would have worked better though)

*1" circle punch for paper inserts 

*letter beads, glass beads or any embellishment you want

Remember to lay them flat side down because it isn't comfortable to use them the other way (we experimented!) and spread a light even coat of glue inside the cap...

Add your paper insert that you can decorate or punch from a magazine or card or drawing, Tori did everything from color the paper to just draw on it.

Using the tip of the bottle, push the insert down so it sticks to the glue already there and then apply another thin coat to the top making a full seal with the glue...

We used beads on some using the same process, and during our crafting we discovered methods that worked better than others and you have to allow plenty of drying time!

So here is Tori's fave that we made.  Don't ask! lol  Anyway it's just full of glass and letter beads.  Here are some of the others:

Downy Wrinkle Releaser

  This stuff really works.  I got one of my most wrinkled twisted up shirts out of a drawer and tried it out and within' seconds I had a smooth and fresh smelling shirt!  Really!!  I love the size of the bottle I got, because I can throw it in my bag or a suitcase to take on vacation, versus an iron.  I hate to iron and will confess that I don't do it too often.  This is such a time saver and headache solver too.  This is definitely an item I will be buying in the future.

BIC Mark-It

This is a product that I have used before and I still use often.  I have discovered that Bic Mark-It's are just as good as Sharpies, cost less and actually seem to last longer for me.  I really love that they come in a Fine point also.  I always carry a Bic Mark-It to the races or any kind of sporting event or concert where there may be an opportunity to snag an autograph, never know and I usually always have one in my purse for leaving notes or jotting things down.   They will write on just about anything and are acid free so they are perfect for scrapbooking and crafting!  Love them!!

I then tried the Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Energy Skin Delivery System and I am definitely in love!   Sprayed the mist on my legs and it was wonderful. Smelled fresh and you can see the moisturizing occur!  My hubs has a super dry area on his leg where he has had his injury and he often gets frustrated that even though he keeps lotion on it it still looks like scales.  I sprayed this stuff on it and he was amazed!  I may lose the bottle!  This is another product that I would continue to use and so would hubs!
