Check it Out! If you use fabric softener sheets in the dryer you may want to do a little easy maintenance to ensure that your dryer continues to work properly. Fabric softener sheets can cause a film to form over your lint trap screen. So just cleaning out the lint may not be enough.
There is an easy way see if your dryer is being affected, just rinse your lint trap screen under water, if the doesn't run right through, you have a film build-up. Cleaning it with soap, water and a soft brush, like a toothbrush will remove the film. Remember to allow it to completely dry before using the dryer again.
One of the best ways to keep your dryer running smoothly is to wash your lint trap screen at least once a month.
In the interest of saving money & time removing stray ones from clothing, I quit using them altogether.I don't miss them at all!
