My Thrify Walgreens Trip

                            
Check it Out!  I am fairly new to the drug store deals game so I am learning all the rules as I go along.  I have to say that so far Walgreens is my favorite drug store and it helps alot that it is also the closest!  During a recent Walgreens trip I learned something new and it got me to thinking about their coupon policy, so I went to Walgreens.com and they are nice enough to have it posted as alot of stores do not I am finding.  You can see Walgreens Coupon Policy HERE.  So this week at Walgreens Baby Magic was on sale for $3 with a $3 register reward, making that item Free, since I was getting them for a baby gift I wanted both Baby Magic Lotion and the Baby Magic Shampoo but what I didn't know was that no matter how many you buy, you will only get the register reward for 1 item.  So it is important to remember to purchase multiple register reward items in separate transactions.  You also cannot use a register reward on the same item you received it for, for example:  I could not use a register reward for the Baby Magic Lotion on the bottle of Baby Magic Shampoo.  Here are the deals I was able to take advantage of:
My first transaction:
1.  Baby Magic Lotion - $3.00 store sale- got back a $3.00 register reward
(Here is where I made my mistake, I bought 2)
2.  Nice N Easy Foam Color - $7.99 store sale -used Free coupon from Facebook and got back a $1.00 register reward
3.  Colgate Total - $2.99 store sale - used $0.75 coupon and got back a $3.00 register reward
Final Total:  $9.43 paid - got $7.00 register rewards

Second transaction:
4.  NyQuil 10oz - $5.49 store ad coupon - used $1.00 off any Vicks product coupon
5.  CareFree Panty Liners - $0.99 store ad coupon
6.  Olay Body Bar 2 pack - $3.49 store sale - used $1.00 off Olay Bar/Body Wash coupon also used a Buy Olay Bar Soap get Secret Deodorant Free coupon
7.  Secret Solid Deodorant - $2.99 - used $1.00 off  Secret product coupon
8.  Aquaphor Lip Repair - $4.99 - used $1.00 online coupon - got back a $4.00 register reward
9.  2 Clairol Touch Highlights- $13.49 regular price - clearanced to $3.49 - used $5.00 off 2 Clairol products coupon
10.  2 Mars Skittles- 2 for $1.00 store sale
Final Price - $9.70 paid and got back $4.00 register rewards

I ended up paying $15.13 for all 10 items!  Regular price would have been $49.66!  Now that was a rewarding trip!  Oh and had I gotten that 2nd register reward for the Baby Magic my final total would have only been $12.13!  Have you been able to get deals like these?  Do you have any Walgreens shopping tips?  Leave me a comment and let me know!
