Check it Out! Do you know a high school student interested in art and museums? Do you live in the Atlanta area? If so The High Museum of Art Atlanta is looking for a group of creative and ambitious students to join their Teen Advisory Council or Teen Team. The Teen Team organizes teen nights and assists with summer camp workshops as well as various projects throughout the year. The Teen Team meets daily for 8 weeks over the summer, June 6 – July 29, 2011, from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and approximately once per week during the school year. Each member is paid $7.25 hourly during the 8 week summer session. The meetings and events during the school year are optional and intended to broaden the student's knowledge of the Arts Education field, and participation may count towards volunteer credits. Applicants must be high school students enrolled for the 2011-2012 school year. If you know a teenager aged 16-18 who would enjoy working with museum staff, artists, and other creative young people, let them know about this unique opportunity to be a vital part of teen programming at the High Museum.Applications are due Friday, March 18.
