At African American History Month.gov  you will find an extensive collection of portraits, artifacts and articles all pertaining to Black History month and the 2011 theme "African Americans and the Civil War."  February 1st through the 28th you can view the ongoing exhibition "The Kinsey Collection: Shared Treasures of Bernard and Shirley Kinsey."  There are other activities and events planned for the month of February.  You can GO HERE to find ready to use lesson plans as well as activities and research aids.  Check it Out!
