Atlanta McDonald's and PTA Celebrate Black History Month

Selena Sloan Butler
Check it Out!  Even though I homeschool my children now I have spent many years involved in the Parent Teacher Association.  I have done everything from secretary to Vice President and found out first hand how important it is to a school.  During the month of February over 280 metro Atlanta McDonald's restaurants will honor the contributions of Selena Sloan Butler, who organized the first National Congress of Colored Parents and Teachers (NCCPT) and co-founded the National Congress of Parents and Teachers, which is now the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  This Black History Month, you can join McDonald’s in celebrating the culture and heritage of African Americans 365 days a year. You and your kids (6-12) are invited to complete the" McDonald’s Nuggets of Knowledge Black History Quiz."  Students that complete the quiz with 80% accuracy or higher will receive a certificate of completion and a coupon for a FREE McDonald’s all white meat Chicken McNuggets Happy Meal with Apple Dippers!  You can GO HERE to the Kiss 104.1 fm site to get all the details.
