Thursday's Gift - Notepads

Check it Out!  Today's gift idea uses a simple notepad bought for $0.49 and pen and is great for teens or to add to baskets.  My notepad is the type that comes with a cover and a cardboard back with top binding (not legal pads).  Check it Out!  So here are the supplies:

*Notepad 8"x6" with cover
*open barrel ink pen
*various cardstock
*various embellishments
*punches for round shapes
*metal clip and a med. spiral clip

So here are two versions using the same supplies and paper set.  The instructions are easy and so fast:
*Measure base paper to fit cover of notepad, (note the fold up crease in the cover and glue your paper below that crease so the notepad is usable) and stick to cover.  Add any other desired embellishments and the spiral clip to cover.  Use coordinating paper to fill the inside of the pen barrel to coordinate with your notepad.  (measure the length of the barrel and around the outside of the pen and cut a strip that big, curl around ink stick and insert carefully and slowly into the barrel)  To decorate the metal clip, simply use coordinating paper cut to size of flat part of clip.  Using a medium size clip allows it to clip the whole notepad closed at the bottom.  Tie a bow around the notepad and hang pen on ribbon using pen cap.
